The era of Brazil's being boring and one dimensional is definitely coming to an end.

The origin's output has become much more varied over the last few years, with improved growing conditions and great processing techniques resulting in much more complex and sweeter coffees coming out - which is welcomed!

Why did we buy this coffee?

Serra das Araras is a super coffee that jumped off the cupping table with its super sweet chocolate body, maple syrup sweetness and layer of citrus cutting through (think sweet lemons).

We wanted a coffee that would work well as a crowd pleasing single origin espresso in our bars, but one that also had a good sweetness and clean cup that would stand up well as a batch brew (filter).  SDA does both very very well.

If you're looking for a super accessible, rich and sweet espresso that doesn't hurt your wallet, this is probably the coffee for you. It's a short run espresso that will probably only last 8 weeks, so grab some while you can.

What machines can I make this coffee on?

Due to its forgiving nature, it works well in all kinds of espresso machines, whether you have a high end setup such as a Rocket, Marzocco, Expobar (Pro-Sumer) or the likes of a Rancilio Silvia, Gaggia Classic, De'Longhi or Dualit.

Don't have an espresso machine?

This coffee will also work well in a Cafetiere, Clever Dripper or Aeropress, offering you a full bodied full immersion coffee.

Flavour notes:

Milk Chocolate, Maple Syrup, and Citrus, with a descriptor of Sweet.
We roast on Tue, Wed & Thurs. Your coffee will be roasted within 5 days of purchase, with a shelf life of 6 weeks (optimum serving point of 10-36 days).
